Who I am
I’m Elodie, a French girl who has been living in New Zealand for seven years, and a mother of two children. It was when my second child was two that I discovered ceramics, as a creative escape, a moment for myself outside of everyday life.
Since I was a child, I’ve always had a deep need to create with my hands. It’s a passion, almost an instinctive drive. But my encounter with clay was more than just that. From the very first touch, I felt an immediate connection with the material, a kind of silent dialogue. It didn’t take long for this practice to become an obsession. I dove headfirst into the world of ceramics, studying and learning everything I could. What fascinates me the most is the endless possibilities. Ceramics is such a vast and rich field that every day is an opportunity to discover new techniques, new processes. This constant search for knowledge and improvement feeds me and pushes me to go further.
Creating is my way of reconnecting with what truly matters, taking the time, feeling each gesture. I invite you to join me on this journey through my ceramics.
